This website
allprodigitalco.com is an informational website. It has no sign-up, no forms, no cookies, and no analytics or advertising trackers. The site is hosted on GitHub Pages, and GitHub may log technical information such as your IP address to operate and secure its service, as described in the GitHub General Privacy Statement.
If you email us, we use your name, email address and anything you include in the message only to reply to you and to provide the services you ask about. We don't add you to a mailing list unless you ask us to.
The Service Tracker app: the short version
- Service Tracker keeps your job records on your phone first. You can use it without sending anything to us.
- If you or your team turn on sync, your job records, photos and voice memos are sent to our server so your team's managers can see them.
- Location and route tracking are off unless you turn them on.
- We don't sell your information or use it for advertising.
Information the Service Tracker app handles
Job records
When you check in and out of a job, the app records the check-in and check-out times, breaks, and the job details you give it by voice or typing: customer, machine (brand, model, serial number, engine hours), problem, fault codes, what was found, work done, parts, and follow-up notes. It also keeps a history for each machine across visits.
Voice input and transcripts
The app uses your phone's microphone when you tap to speak or record. For check-in and check-out, the app keeps only the text of what you said, not the audio. Turning speech into text is done by your device's speech recognition service. Depending on your device and settings, that service may process the audio on the device or send it to the device maker's speech service (for example Apple or Google), under their own privacy policies.
Voice memos
If you record a voice memo on a job, the app keeps the audio and, when available, a text transcript. Transcripts can be turned off in Settings.
Photos
If you take a photo for a job, the app saves a resized copy with that job. Photos may show people, places, vehicles or license plates, so take care what you photograph.
Location, route and mileage (optional)
Location tracking is off by default. If you turn on route tracking in Settings, the app records your GPS route while you are checked in to a job and works out the miles for that job. You can stop tracking for a job at any time.
Invoices and work reports
The app can turn a job into an invoice or work report using the job details and the settings you enter, such as your name, business name, labor rate, tax, trip charge and mileage rate. Invoices are created on your phone. They are shared only if you print, save or send them yourself. Service Tracker does not process payments.
Settings and sign-in
Your settings are stored on your phone. If you use sync, you sign in with a code from your team's manager. We store sign-in codes on our server only in hashed (scrambled) form.
Where your information is stored
On your phone. Everything above is stored on your phone first, and the app works without a connection.
On our server, only if sync is on. Sync is used for team features. When it's on, the following is sent to our server:
- Job records (the job details, times and breaks listed above).
- Photos and voice memos (audio and transcripts) attached to your jobs.
- For route tracking: only the total miles for each job, unless you also turn on "Share my full route with my team". Turning that setting off later removes the full route from the server.
By default, the raw words you spoke at check-in and check-out stay on your phone and only the organized job details are synced, unless you turn on the setting to sync your raw notes. With sync off, nothing is sent to our server.
Who can see your information
- You. Your sign-in code only gives access to your own jobs, photos, memos and routes.
- Managers on your team. If your team uses the manager dashboard, your team's managers can see your synced jobs, photos, voice memos, miles (and full route, if you share it), and your check-ins, check-outs and breaks as they happen. They can't see other teams.
- Us. We can access data on our server to run and support the service.
We don't sell your information and don't share it for advertising.
Deleting your information
- You can edit or delete jobs, photos and memos in the app. Deleting a photo or memo on your phone also deletes it from our server at the next sync.
- Settings includes options to export your data and to erase the data on your phone.
- To ask us to delete synced data from our server, email richard@allprodigitalco.com.
Phone permissions
- Microphone and speech recognition: voice check-in, check-out, search and memos.
- Camera and photos: job photos.
- Location: only if you turn on route and mileage tracking.
You can change these permissions at any time in your phone's settings. The rest of the app keeps working without them, and you can always type instead of speaking.
Children
Service Tracker is a work tool for adults and is not meant for children.
